Tamara Shipp is a Family Nurse Practitioner with 44 years of progressive nursing experience across adult/gerontology, primary care, urgent care, emergency care, critical care, neurology, and case management. She has also served as a hospital-based care coordinator and discharge planner supporting internal medicine teams. Her clinical background includes diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of health conditions while helping patients build and maintain healthier lifestyles.

Televia Health was created after changes in my previous care model, which would have limited telemedicine access. I wanted to continue caring for patients through virtual visits while maintaining my own standards for quality, accessibility, and continuity of care. 

As both a provider and a patient, I understand how frustrating and expensive it can be when people cannot access timely, convenient care. My own experience seeking treatment for a routine issue reinforced how valuable telehealth can be when it is done well. That experience helped inspire me to create a practice that offers professional, accessible care without unnecessary delays or barriers.
